Online marketplace for high-quality AM materials
PROTIQ expands its platform with "Materials & More"
Additive manufacturing processes are considered forward-looking and are now used in a wide range of industries. No surprise, because 3D printing allows many production processes to be optimized and costs to be saved. And just as the areas of application, the variety of technologies and the diversity of materials are growing, so is the PROTIQ Marketplace.
In the future, the marketplace for industrial 3D printing will not only offer the services of various 3D printing service partners but will now also include a store for other additive manufacturing products. The range of AM products will include production materials such as plastic and metal powders, SLA resins, general tools and much more in the future.
Materials & More
Under the title "Materials & More", PROTIQ is now opening up its marketplace to dealers and manufacturers of additive manufacturing products. The PROTIQ marketplace is thus becoming a one-stop shop, both for customers who commission additive manufacturing and for those who already do additive manufacturing themselves.
At the same time, you can rely on the quality of the products offered: With more than 10 years of experience in additive manufacturing, its own 3D printing service, as well as through long-standing partnerships, the PROTIQ team knows the special requirements for AM materials and accessories and what matters.
Starting off strong with BASF Forward AM
To kick things off, "Materials & More" is starting with a particularly strong partner: BASF Forward AM will from now on be offering high-performance plastic powders such as TPU, PP or PA11 for direct purchase via the PROTIQ platform. “At BASF Forward AM, our aim is to drive the industrialization of additive manufacturing by enabling ‘plug and play’ materials for various machine manufacturers. In our long-standing collaboration with PROTIQ we now take the next step: in addition to printed parts, customers can order our high-performance materials through ’Materials & More‘”, says Anke Johannes, Director of Sales Europe & Market Development, BASF 3D Printing Solutions.
AM platform of the future
The "Materials & More" shop offers considerable added value for the manufacturing partners and other business customers: Delivery times and prices become transparent and supply shortages, such as those experienced just last year, can be avoided.
But what is the initial motivation behind the addition to the PROTIQ Marketplace? "It is the consistent further development of the platform idea. We will continuously expand and improve the intuitive one-stop shopping experience. The use of AI and machine learning offer great potential here. The goal is to fulfill all wishes of our platform customers in one place", explains Dr. Johannes Lohn, Head of Development, Marketing & Sales, PROTIQ GmbH.
All in all, the new B2B shop on the PROTIQ Marketplace is therefore another step towards a holistic AM platform – and one can already be curious about which new partners, features and services will be coming next.
