IHK Lippe zu Detmold and PROTIQ train 3D printing technologies specialists

3D printing as an (additive) manufacturing process is becoming ever more important for industrial digitization. Expertise in the use of promising process technologies is already in great demand today, as the labor market is constantly adapting to technical developments. That is why PROTIQ’s 3D printing specialists are now expanding their commitment to research and education in cooperation with the Lippe zu Detmold IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) to include a certificate course with uniform standards throughout Germany. Successful completion of this course entitles you to call yourself a 3D printing technologies specialist (IHK).

Ideally equipped for Industry 4.0

It’s a logical consequence: new technologies require new knowledge. Those who quickly acquire this knowledge have the best chance of succeeding on the labor market. 3D printing is a field that, despite its current relevance, is still in its infancy. However, ever more companies are working with these processes and this trend is sure to continue. Trained 3D printing technology specialists (IHK) have the necessary know-how to master the industrial challenges of the future. The result: a growing demand for qualified personnel.

IHK certificated training course provides versatile specialist knowledge

The aim of the IHK seminar, which will take place on PROTIQ premises and is divided into six modules, is to enable participants to use various 3D printing technologies and provide them with access to additional manufacturing options. Topics will include the fundamentals of 3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, rules and guidelines relating to design and construction for the various processes, and the creation of complex 3D components. Stefan de Groot, Project Manager and Technology Manager for additive manufacturing processes at PROTIQ, is a 3D printing technology expert. The graduate industrial engineer will conduct the seminar. Specialists with completed industrial/technical vocational training or several years of relevant professional experience are eligible to take part in the course.
