The Berlin software company trinckle creates design automation in 3D printing with a focus on product customization. For the PROTIQ Marketplace, the company developed the web-based Inductor Generator, which allows customers to configure and order individual copper inductors using a fully digitized process.

At the PROTIQ Marketplace, the benefits of tool-less additive manufacturing are combined with an end-to-end digital process chain to reduce customer waiting times as efficiently as possible. "The Inductor Generator was tailored by trinckle to the exact needs of our industrial customers. Users can simply select the basic shape they need and set application-specific parameters such as the number of windings, the coil diameter, or the position of the connector itself,” said Dr. Ralf Gärtner, Managing Director of the PROTIQ Marketplace, explaining how the Inductor Generator works.

Within just a few minutes the online configurator creates an individual 3D model that is already optimized for printing and can be produced immediately. Time-consuming and cost-intensive manual CAD design is therefore a thing of the past, and thanks to the simple ordering process, preparing a quote is no longer necessary.

Furthermore, trinckle Head of Business Development Ole Bröker is satisfied with the collaboration: “With the configurator, we have taken the business model of PROTIQ a big step into the digital future. It’s a great application example for our ‘paramate’ configuration software."
